Split AC maintenance that goes beyond a filter rinse

Indoor and outdoor units stripped, washed and tested — so your splits cool the way they did when they were new.

Why split units in Qatar need real servicing

Split ACs are the workhorses of Qatar — nearly every villa, flat and shop runs them, often ten hours a day for eight months straight. Dust, humidity and long run-times wear them down in a way that a quick filter wash simply doesn't address.

The parts that actually decide how well your AC cools — the evaporator coil, the blower wheel, the outdoor condenser — sit behind the panels, out of sight. That's where our service spends most of its time.

A properly maintained split cools faster, runs quieter, uses noticeably less electricity and lasts years longer. The difference shows up on your Kahramaa bill within the first month.

How a visit runs

Our six-step service process

Inspect & test first

We run the unit and note temperatures, airflow and noise before touching anything, so there's a baseline to compare against.

Protect the room

Covers go over furniture and flooring. Coil washing happens into a service bag, not down your wall.

Deep clean indoor unit

Filters, coil, blower and drain — cleaned with the right chemicals, not just water and hope.

Service outdoor unit

Condenser washed through, electrics checked, gas pressure measured against the manufacturer's spec.

Re-test and compare

The unit runs again and we compare supply-air temperature against the baseline. You see the difference on the gauge.

Report honestly

If we spotted a weak capacitor or a slow leak, you hear about it now — with a price — not as a surprise breakdown in August.

When something's already wrong

Common split AC problems we fix

Maintenance is the goal, but plenty of first visits start with a fault. These are the usual suspects:

Not cooling / weak cooling

Usually dirty coils or low gas from a small leak. We diagnose properly — find the leak, fix it, then recharge — instead of selling you a refill every few months.

Water dripping indoors

A blocked condensate drain, nine times out of ten. We flush the line, clean the pan and check the unit's slope so it doesn't come back.

Tripping the breaker

Often a failing capacitor or compressor drawing too many amps. We test the electricals and replace the actual faulty part.

Bad smell when starting

Mould on the evaporator coil and blower, fed by summer humidity. A chemical clean and sanitise clears it.

Noisy indoor or outdoor unit

Worn fan bearings, a loose blower wheel, or debris in the outdoor unit. Caught early, it's a small job.

Compressor & capacitor replacement

When a major part does go, we supply and fit genuine replacements, on-site or in workshop, with a warranty on the work.

How often should you service?

Honest answer: it depends on how hard your units work.

  • Twice a year suits most homes — a full service in March or April before the heat, and a check mid-summer.
  • Quarterly makes sense for shops, offices and bedrooms where the AC runs day and night.
  • Monthly filter washes you can do yourself — we'll happily show you how during a visit.

If you'd rather not think about scheduling at all, that's exactly what an annual maintenance contract is for.

FAQ

Split AC maintenance questions

How often should a split AC be serviced in Qatar?

Twice a year for most homes — a full service before summer and a lighter check during it. Units that run around the clock, or sit near construction dust, are better on a quarterly schedule.

How long does a service take?

Around 45–60 minutes per unit for a proper deep clean including the outdoor condenser. If someone finishes your "service" in ten minutes, they washed the filter and left.

Do you cover all brands?

Yes. LG, Samsung, Gree, Midea, O General, Daikin, Pearl and everything else sold in Qatar. Parts availability is rarely an issue for common brands.

Is gas refilling included?

A gas pressure check is included in every service. If it's low, we quote before topping up — and we look for the leak, because refrigerant doesn't get "used up". Low gas always means it's escaping somewhere.
